Overview
This course was developed after major system updates for an inventory management platform. Because of the changes in user interface, errors were becoming more frequent, and users were forgetting to rely on tried and tested protocols. Through scenario based training, this course helped remind learners of what they already knew, or introduced them to the correct methods to replace bad habits.
Real-life scenarios, modified from SME anecdotes, drew learners in with relevant stories, appealing both to their curiosity, and their desire to correct the mistakes made. The gamified element of participating in the events presented, and allowing users to try again when incorrect, proved to be an engaging and popular way to address an issue in employee behaviors.
This project was the first time I had used AI tools to help build a course. Finding illustrations to accompany specific stories presented by my subject matter experts turned out to be nearly impossible. I was lucky to find a new AI image creation feature in Canva and was able to create images that aligned with company branding to really make the course come alive.
