I love learning.
I live to soak up new information from both traditional and informal sources. From the history of Oval Office interior decorating to gaining the most basic of welding skills, I'm constantly acquiring knowledge!
Naturally, I love sharing information and helping others learn as well! Between public and community education, I've been teaching for over 15 years. With a wealth of experience tailoring instruction to individual needs, I am confident in my ability to select effective learning strategies to fit any situation.
When the pandemic hit, the school I was at quickly shifted online. I found a way to use all this in a new and exciting way! My district chose a curriculum package with almost zero arts education resources, so over the summer of 2019, I helped lead a small team of arts educators to build an eLearning framework from the ground up! Ultimately our work was used across the district in over 150 schools.
Eventually, I sought to exercise this newfound passion in a broader sense. I moved into the corporate world of learning and development and have enjoyed the last 5+ years developing new team members and provide continuing education opportunities for learners across the Nation!
In my free time I still exercise a passion for the arts through painting murals, quilting and volunteering for theater organizations in the area. I love to explore new foods, garden and be outside whenever I can!
